Freshman Grant Glorioso carded a 77. Junior C.J. Blagrove finished with a 78. Freshman Carlo Carino entered the clubhouse at 79. Nick Ingles, the only senior in the starting line-up, shot an 82. the spring season. When the two rivals dualed at Lakewood two weeks ago, the Crusaders won by two strokes. So the Jays on Tuesday were not only looking to avenge this earlier loss to the Crusaders, but also pocket the district championship in the process.

The Blue Jay golfers accomplished both objectives on what was a blustery afternoon on Lakewood’s front nine, par 36 course. Coach Owen Seiler ’75 selected a team composed of senior Nick Ingles, juniors Will Dufour and C.J. Blagrove, and freshmen Grant Glorioso and Carlo Carino. Only the four lowest scores factored into Jesuit’s team total of 154. Those low scores were turned in by Ingles (37), Dufour (37), Glorioso (39), and Carino (41).

Jesuit will compete in a bi-district tournament on Tuesday, April 16 at Lakewood. Each team will field five golfers for the 18-hole tournament. The regionals will be held April 23 at Carter Plantation in Hammond.
The LHSAA state tournament is April 29-30 at East Ridge Country Club in Shreveport.

Junior Will Dufour pushed his drive slightly left on the 7th hole at Lakewood Golf Club and used

settle for par after his birdie putt came up just short. The action took place on Tuesday afternoon, April 2, as Jesuit’s golf team won its match against Archbishop Rummel, 152-173. In these
types of matches, coaches from each team select five golfers to compete, but only the four
lowest scores count after finishing nine holes. The four Blue Jays who turned in the lowest
scores on the par 36 front nine course were senior Nick Ingles (37), junior C.J. Blagrove
(37), junior Alex Anderson (39), and freshman Grant Glorioso (39).
